Overview

Plesk is your control panel for managing your Windows hosting account. This guide covers the essential features and navigation.

Logging In

  1. Go to your Plesk URL (provided in your welcome email)
  2. Enter your username and password
  3. Click Log In

Main Dashboard

After logging in, you see the main dashboard with:

  • Websites & Domains: Manage your websites
  • Mail: Email account management
  • Databases: Database management
  • Files: File Manager access
  • Statistics: Resource usage

Websites & Domains

This is your primary section for website management.

Key Features:

  • File Manager: Upload, download, edit files
  • Databases: Create and manage MSSQL databases
  • SSL/TLS Certificates: Manage HTTPS
  • Hosting Settings: Configure web hosting options
  • .NET Core: Configure ASP.NET Core applications
  • ASP.NET Settings: Configure classic ASP.NET

File Manager

  1. Go to Websites & Domains
  2. Click File Manager

Common Tasks:

  • Upload: Click Upload button, select files
  • Create folder: Click NewCreate Directory
  • Edit file: Click on file, select Edit in Code Editor
  • Download: Select file, click Download
  • Delete: Select file/folder, click Remove
  • Extract ZIP: Select archive, click Extract Files

Important Folders:

  • httpdocs: Your web root - website files go here
  • logs: Website access and error logs

FTP Access

For uploading large files or many files:

Find FTP Credentials:

  1. Go to Websites & Domains
  2. Click FTP Access or Web Hosting Access
  3. Note the FTP hostname, username, and password

FTP Settings:

  • Host: Usually your domain or ftp.yourdomain.com
  • Port: 21 (standard FTP)
  • Username: Shown in Plesk
  • Password: Your Plesk password or set separately

Email Management

  1. Go to Mail
  2. Click Create Email Address
  3. Enter the email name and password
  4. Click OK

Access Webmail:

Click Webmail next to any email address, or go to webmail.yourdomain.com

SSL Certificates

  1. Go to Websites & Domains
  2. Click SSL/TLS Certificates
  3. Click Install under Lets Encrypt
  4. Select options and click Get it Free

Viewing Statistics

  1. Go to Websites & Domains
  2. Click Statistics
  3. View disk usage, bandwidth, and visitor stats

Changing Password

  1. Click your username in the top right
  2. Select Edit Profile
  3. Enter new password
  4. Click Apply
